NESBITT RECEIVES 2009 EXCELLENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD

LEXINGTON KY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2009:  Paul D. Nesbitt, President of Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. received the “2009 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award”, in the category of “For-Profit Business”, awarded by the Center for Rural Development, in partnership with Eastern Kentucky University’s College of Business and Technology and the Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation.  Finalists and award winners were recognized at a luncheon held on Sept. 14 at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky.
The Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award was established in 2001 to honor excellence in entrepreneurship throughout Eastern and Southern Kentucky. Award recipients were selected based on nominations received from 55 Eastern and Southern Kentucky counties. Nominations are made by individuals and community organizations, and selection of the awards finalists and recipients is determined by a committee of partner representatives and selected external stakeholders. 
“It was an honor just to be nominated”, stated Mr. Nesbitt.  “The spirit of entrepreneurship has always been a driving force in the region’s economic success”, he continued, “and I’m fortunate and grateful to the fine team of employees who sustain and grow Nesbitt Engineering, Inc.”
