Fugate/Dunahoo 2009 Employees of the Year

January 5, 2009:  Sandra K. Edwards Dunahoo of Lexington, KY and Donnie Paul Fugate of Prestonsburg, KY, were recently named Employees of the Year at Nesbitt Engineering, Inc.  They were presented with awards and honored at the company’s annual holiday dinner in December.

A Senior Engineering Technician, Fugate was surprised by the award, remarking “….I could not have accomplished anything without the help of the entire Prestonsburg Office.  This job gave me the opportunity to move home and I feel honored and privileged that I get to serve the people of Eastern Kentucky.”

A 2009 Leadership Kentucky graduate, Dunahoo serves as a Funding/Marketing Specialist with NESBITT.  “Nesbitt Engineering provides an environment which encourages employees to excel,” she said.  “I appreciate the opportunity to work here, and am honored by this recognition.”

“Sandy and Donnie are employees who go beyond the typical duties defined by their positions,” said NESBITT’s President, Paul D. Nesbitt.  “Sandy is adept at securing funding for a wide variety of infrastructure projects, even during a tough economic climate, and her commitment to client relationships is unmatched.” 

“Donnie constantly looks for ways to improve internal processes and uses this knowledge in collaborating with colleagues to enhance service,” Nesbitt continued.  “His positive attitude gets reflected in his work, and in his response to others.”
