NESBITT ENGINEERING, INC. CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY
LEXINGTON KY, JUNE 30, 2006: This year Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. is thanking clients and employees as the company marks its thirty year anniversary. With offices in Lexington, Hazard and Prestonsburg, NESBITT provides engineering consulting services in a broad range of disciplines including solid waste management, civil engineering, mining engineering, oil and gas consulting, surveying and environmental sciences.
 Asked to explain his company's longevity, founder and President Paul D. Nesbitt stated, "We've always focused on hiring individuals who value excellence - these are individuals who care about their clients, their communities and each other - that's a powerful starting point." Founded in 1976 in Hazard, Kentucky, the corporate office was relocated to Lexington in 1980 and the Hazard office was kept as a branch. Industry design trends, fluctuating economic indicators, and merging two smaller engineering companies into NESBITT were all significant benchmarks that reshaped the company.
The single biggest change he's notice in thirty years? "That's easy - personal computers. The applications for computer technology in our industry were just huge and we embraced these innovations from the start.
